As a result, we will experience certain symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or dizziness. Lives may be at stake. So, how to take the right and appropriate vitamin?

1. Vitamins A, D, E and K are both consumed with foods that contain fat
Absorption will be more optimal if this vitamin is taken together with foods that contain fat. Based on research, vitamin D taken together with dinner will increase blood levels of vitamin D by 50 percent.

2. Calcium supplements must be consumed with food
According to a journal, calcium supplements should be taken together with food. The reason, calcium requires acid from the stomach to be broken down. However, it is not recommended to take calcium supplements with high fiber foods, because fiber can bind calcium and reduce the amount of calcium for the body.

Daily calcium requirements vary depending on age and sex. Women aged 25-50 years need 1,000 mg/day, while women over the age of 50 need 1,000-1,200 mg/day of calcium. Meanwhile, men aged 25-70 years need 1,000 mg of calcium/day and increased to 1,000-1,200 mg/day for men over 70 years.

3. Some types of drugs should not be taken together with vitamin C
Nutritionists advise us to get vitamin C from fruits and vegetables rather than supplements. Meanwhile, to treat flu, the dose can be increased to 1-3 grams per day.

Vitamin C should not be taken with certain medications. For example, vitamin C is consumed 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking antacids.

Vitamin C also should not be taken together with estrogen because it will increase side effects. It should not be taken together with fluphenazine because it will reduce its effectiveness.
